I love everything about Valentine's Day...the gifts-especially wrapping them, a romantic dinner, making valentine's for my loved ones...sharing the love...oh, and musn't forget the chocolate!
The history of Valentine's Day blanketed in mystery, but we know that it involves a priest named Valentine, who reportedly was put to death by the Roman emperor, Claudius II, for trying to help Christians escape his wrath in the third century. Another story contends that he sent a letter to a young girl, whom he was in love with, and signed it From Your Valentine, an endearment we still use today. Whatever the true story, Valentine's Day is a very popular card giving holiday, with 141 million cards being exchanged, second only behind Christmas.
