Feeling the Love…of Christine
Christine is my oldest daughter, and she turned 26 years old at 12:21 P.M. on February 07, 2011. My Stino, as I affectionately call her, is an amazing woman in many ways. She's bright, artistic, gracious, polite, organized, caring, loving, and generous.
For the last year she has been battling to gain permanent custody of her young niece and nephew(my grandchildren), Alaric(three years old), and Lacy(two years old). On Tuesday, February 08, 2011, I received a phone call from Stino telling me the news-she had, in fact, gained full legal and physical custody of Alaric and Lacy. The pure joy of her simple words, "Guess what? We got the kids", are words I will never forget. They are embedded in my heart and soul for all my days…
The selfless devotion and love she has displayed since December 2009 in raising our precious little ones is remarkable. One day she was a free independent woman, the next day she was a full time working mom, and Alaric and Lacy have thrived under her care. For this my Love Bug, I love you even more…and I dedicate this blog to you. Happiest of birthdays, Stino!
