My blog today is in honor of John Stubbs of Mac Productions. Manuela Tantawy, The Staging Fashionista, featured John in her newsletter this month for his ongoing efforts to end hunger and homelessness in America, but Mr. Stubbs does so much more. He also tirelessly maintains the website Survivors and victims of Tragedy . You see, John's brother, Eric Stubbs, was murdered in 2001 at the tender age of 15-murdered and dumped on someone's porch. John had to identify his body(John is about 20 years older than Eric)...
Mr. Stubbs is from an amazing family. By birth, he is an only child, but his mom did foster care for many years, with John as her assistant. Being an emergency foster care, she took many of them in during the night with nothing but the clothes on their backs. She adopted 4 of those kids, Eric included, and one year was named Foster Parent of the year by the State of Ohio, all as a single mom.
Please take a look today and remember all these young people who have lost their lives by someone else's hand, and pray for their friends and family. For many of these people, it's nearly a monthly occurrence to attend the funeral of a young person who has been murdered. Cleveland has one of the highest teen murder rates in America, and is home to the #2 and the #8 most dangerous neighborhoods in the United States. And please feel free to contact Judy Martin, the founder of this organization to make a donation-they can use all the help they can get.
Thank you Mr. Stubbs, for all that you do.
