Feelin’ the Love…of Wrapping Gifts

As we inch closer and closer to Valentine's Day, I am thinking of how much I love to wrap gifts. For me, it's not about the paper, although that sometimes plays a factor; it's about the accents-the ribbon, crystals, rhinestones, and anything else I may be using to embellish my presents.

My three daughters join me in gift wrapping for Valentine's Day. After we've spent an afternoon hand making gifts and cards for our loved ones and one another, we then spend an afternoon wrapping them. Not just the gifts, but the cards as well. Oh my, this is a very sentimental time for we girls as we talk about and share our gifts one last time before they are hidden beneath the wrap. It's so wonderful to see the love shining in my daughters' eyes as they carefully wrap their homemade gifts for their loves.

All three of my girls are loving, caring, beautiful women, and I couldn't be prouder of them for that. I dedicate Valentine's Day 2011 to them. I truly and deeply love you, Christine, Lauren, and Kara…
